The letter below was sent to association members on 16th June 2020.

Dear Members,

Due to the difficult and unforeseen times we are currently experiencing, the Executive Committee of the AIANSW have decided to cancel all planned events for 2020. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and in regards to the NSW Government’s Public Health Guidelines, it was in the best interests of our community to make this decision, especially as majority of our members are seniors.

The following cancelled events include:

• July 5 – Jam Session
• August 9 – Picnic
• September 5 – Chaat Night
• October 3 – Anniversary Dance
• November 7 – Annual General Meeting (until further notice)
• December 12 – Children’s Christmas Tree
• December 31 – New Year’s Eve Dance

As a result of this, any members that have already made payments for any of the cancelled events and require a refund, please provide your bank account details to:

The Executive Committee have also decided, as a gesture of appreciation and to thank members for their understanding, a free membership for all existing members for the next financial year of 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. For those members who have paid for multiple-year memberships, an additional year will be added to your subscription.
